Mark 4

Parable of the Sower Mark 4 1-20

This parable is about how people receive the word of god.  It talks about the different ways people reject it and how one accepts it.  You know, the ones on the path, the ones, in shallow soil, the ones in the thorns, and the ones that grow great  crops.  He then tells his close followers what he meant by the whole thing.  There is something that appears to be missing and I seem to fall into this category.  What about the one who hears the word receives it, produces crops, and then, I guess to go along with the parable, withered and died? Or does nearly two decades of having this as an identity lump me in with the ones that shot up quickly but then died due to lack of soil?

The Parables of the Lamp, Growing Seed, and the Mustard Seed Mark 4 21-34

Jesus goes on to talk in more parables about faith and how it is used and what it should be like.  The interesting line that stands out to me is at the end.  It says he spoke in parables to all the crowds be only told what they meant to his disciples.  He says it’s because of a prophecy in Isaiah.  Doesn’t this become a self fulfilling prophecy.  If you’ve already read this and wanted to make sure you fulfilled it, knowing it would be a good start.

Jesus Calms the Storm Mark 4 35-41

So they are on the boat at night and a storm kicks up. They wake him up and he says “Quiet! Be Still!”  is it possible he was yelling at the people on the boat and the storm happened to calm down at the same moment.  Or maybe the storm was a bit less intense than they thought.

  1. and water to wine? someone cheated and did change bottles?
sad is, that you never didnt take a time and even didnt try to check out – find proofs, is your’s belief true, is Jesus really alive? because if you even did want at last for a second, for whole heart, no matter what, check out – does Jesus exict and IS God – well:
    Psalms 46
1 God is our refuge and strength ,
2 A very present and well-proved help in trouble.

well-proved = verb (used with object), proved, proved or proven, proving.
    1.
to establish the truth or genuineness of, as by evidence or argument:
    to prove one’s claim.

If God is easy to prove… Did you try it?
    Why?
The coming of the lawless one is by the activity of Satan with all power and false signs and wonders, and with all wicked deception for those who are perishing, because they refused to love the truth and so be saved. Therefore God sends them a strong delusion, so that they may believe what is false, in order that all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
    2 Thessalonians 2 9-12

so they did refuse what? love the TRUTH.

    1
the true or actual state of a matter:
He tried to find out the truth.
    2.
conformity with fact or reality; verity:
    the truth of a statement.

see? just believe is NOT enough – you need something, that is “fact or reality”.
only then, no matter what happens, any storm you will face, you will stand.
now, as Jesus said – your’s house did fall.
    It is not yet late.
Your’s rage and disapointment is understandable and i was there once. Because i did believe man. But one day i did get and idea, to find proofs – do Jesus really exicts. Many proofs. You did decide to proof opposite. It’s easier, yet… you have just your’s thoughts and point of view – i have facts and proofs. I say – Jesus is God, was here, on earth, did die for our sins and ressurect… because He is God.
no hard feelings? just take a time, to find god. Because if Bible say – He is easy to find… and my experience is – He IS – you just have find right way.
To get right answer, find right question.

    1. “Jesus is God, was here, on earth, did die for our sins and ressurect… because He is God.” is really a circular argument. Equally as circular is attempting to prove Jesus exists because it says so in the bible.

If we are searching for truth, I find it strange that early historians have no record of Jesus. In fact, a passage in a work of Josephus, was edited by Christians to make it look like Josephus wrote about him. Why would they do that?

In my experience… there are countless religions worldwide and each one of them are the “Truth” to the believer. There are also people who are unsure, and people who take no religious beliefs. It would be nice to have people accept others for their different beliefs and not preach to them that they are wrong.

  2. “I find it strange that early historians have no record of Jesus.”
so you will believe man, who usually lie? hm.
“In my experience… there are countless religions worldwide and each one of them are the “Truth” to the believer.”
exactly! that’s why there is just one way. if Jesus did not lie, why not to ask Him? If He is alive and God and we are by image of God – Jesus have mouth, eyes, ears? He can speak..
“It would be nice to have people accept others for their different beliefs and not preach to them that they are wrong.”
and.. nope. i wont accept anything ever, if i dont see facts. or at least, as i did start wonder ” what, if..?” because there did happen many things with me, that maybe once is.. just luck, twice – coincidence, three times .. rule?
that way i did start check out. because i did ask for help, in The Name of Jesus and things happened.. but without The Name of Jesus – nothing – you may try it right now!
and yes – i wont “preach” no more, if you like. i will shut up. i told you, you are wrong, not because i believe, but because i know. i wanted to tell you, how find out truth – ask God…

    1. “so you will believe man, who usually lie?
What is the historian Josephus lying about?

“why not to ask Him? If He is alive and God and we are by image of God – Jesus have mouth, eyes, ears? He can speak..”
…and this is what you believe is the truth but in the real world, Jesus and God don’t do speaking engagements.

“nope. i wont accept anything ever”
So you don’t accept that other people have different religious beliefs? I mean, you may disagree and that is understandable but not being able to accept it is being in denial.

“i will shut up. i told you, you are wrong, not because i believe, but because i know. i wanted to tell you, how find out truth ”
I never said to shut up. I find it unusual that, you not knowing what I believe, you claim I am wrong. Wrong about what?
